Is there anyone at Sears that can answer a question about the instructions that came with the LP conversion kit for our new Kenmore dryer.Part # 626-17025. The local Sears store does not do anything with gas so I thought that i would do the install myself and it went fine except I have one question on the regulator adjustment. I spent 50 minutes on the phone and talked to 8 technicians with no help. Tomorrow i will have to go to your competitor and ask for help. Our gas company does not do service work. I'm not sure that i want to keep these appliances if Sears can not provide service for the gas problems.

Dan, this is Kevyn with the Sears Blue Service Crew. I see what an inconvenience this can be for you. You are correct when you mentioned Sears cannot perform an LP conversion. A qualified LP technician will be needed for this, because the risk is potentially high when one is uninformed on the procedure. I am assuming that you contacted your natural gas company in your city. The company that you purchase the propane from is who you will need to contact for this service on your dryer. If they are unable to assist you, you should be able to find a qualified LP technician by visiting www.ServiceLive.com. This is a website that has professional contractors willing to work for you for what you need. I hope this information helps you. If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 1-800-424-2047.

Hi Valued Customer, this is Jon with the Sears Blue Service Crew. I know how concerning it is when your ice isn't working in the summer and I'm happy to provide information to assist you. Many times when you have a water dispenser working and the ice maker stopping it stems from the water filter. The water filter needs to be changed every six months. If your model doesn't have a water filter I would suggest calling us directly at Sears Home Services at 1-800-424-2047 for further assistance.

DVD system not working properly on my Home theater. Can the repair crew help to fix the issue?
Posted by Domoinic K. Dadzie on August 01, 2010 at 10:15 AM CDT #
Hell, Domoinic K. Dadzie. This is Cameron with the Sears Blue Service Crew. Our team can definitely help you with the DVD/Home Theater set up issue. We have techncians that do the set up and repair on these items. The best thing to do is test and see whether it's just the DVD player or it's the particular set up you have. Try hooking the DVD player up just to a single TV. Does it work? If so, that's great--we're just looking for what's wrong with the set up. We can try to help you with troubleshooting that through email or--even better-- by phone at 1-800-424-2047. You can email us at contactus@searshomeservices.com. Just let us know exactly what's happening--the model numbers of any applicable units--DVD, TV, multimedia box, etc--include how it's plugged up (ie, what type of cables, going to where), and decent description of what's happening. Otherwise, you can definitely give us a call and we can set someone up to come out and correct the issue.
Should you require further assistance, you can always reply here.

what could be wrong if a dishwasher dont come on and there is water at the ?
Posted by tracey mekins on August 18, 2010 at 08:11 AM CDT #
Hi, Tracey Mekins. My name is Cameron. I'm with the Sears Blue Service Crew, and I'd like to help you. It looks like your question wasn't completed before being entered. I can provide some basic information, though. If a dishwasher won't turn on at all, there's three places to look first. One, make sure the circuit breaker is on--try turning it off for a minute then back on, and see if the dishwasher will come on now. If the dishwasher still isn't turning on at all, we need to verify that it's actually getting power, which will require some electrical testing. If it's getting the proper voltage up to the dishwasher, the problem would be inside the appliance. At that point, the two places to look would be the wiring within the dishwasher or the timer/control panel (whichever your dishwasher model has). Now, if you're seeing that the dishwasher is coming on, it's just not starting, this is something else. Most newer dishwashers have electronic controls on the front and will either display an error code or flashing lights that tells us what's going on.
You mention there is water somewhere, but I'm not sure where you were mentioning.

I am having a problem with my side-by-side ice maker. Seems that the water that which fills the ice cube maker doesn't know when to shut off. It overflows the try and am having water running down on stuff on the inside. How can i fix this or am i going to need to buy a new motor for it? This is an older model as well. Thanks!
Posted by Marcie on August 30, 2010 at 08:04 PM CDT #
This is Cameron with the Sears Blue Services Crew. Marcie, I'm happy to help you with this issue you're having. The water continually pouring through the water line for your ice maker is a hassle--it's messy, and it can start causing problems with the water icing where it shouldn't. Typically, there are a few things that control this. Sometimes, it is within the ice maker itself, and the entire ice maker will need replaced. There is sometimes a gear under the front facing cover of the ice maker, which will adjust the timer for the water valve. In other cases, it can be a motor, wiring, or simply the valve. With the model number, we can help guide you along the right path with this. For further assistance, please reply here, send an email to contactus@searshomeservices.com, or give us a call at 1-800-424-2047.
